TARGET: INDONESIA'S DEFENCE DEALS

China has long been associated with the use of disinformation campaigns across sectors, be it political or economic. There is increasing concern that such information operations may also be leveraged in order to promote the sale of Chinese military equipment and technology, with such activities emerging in recent years.

CPCW: China-Pakistan Cognitive Warfare

Jammu and Kashmir has experienced terrorism for decades, but there has been a noticeable rise in both the intensity and scale of attacks in recent years. Violence here, instead of isolation, has largely followed a pattern of deliberately targeting civilians, be it a strike on villages, markets, pilgrims, migrant workers, religious minorities, or even tourists.

FIMI in the Philippines Election 2025 — The Chinese Interference (Part 1)

What if the most dangerous threat to democracy isn’t a dictator, but disinterest? Across the world, elections are celebrated as victories of the people, but in reality, they’re often battlegrounds where silence can be louder than protest.

The regime of ‘truth’ pervading the society is a power derivative. Knowledge is power; used to manipulate, influence, and create narratives (Michel Foucault, 1980). In the postmodern age, today’s overwhelming content is laced with propaganda; nothing is outside the text (Derrida, 1967)……

Foreign Information Manipulation & Interference in Indian Election 2024

Chinese Disinformation Campaign in Indian Elections: China strategically interfered in the 2024 Indian Lok Sabha elections through disinformation campaigns on the social media platform "X" (formerly Twitter), targeting three key topics: the India-China border clash, India's heatwaves, and the sale of BrahMos missiles to the Philippines. These campaigns aimed to influence public perception and undermine India's geopolitical position.

Chinese Racism Against India & the Complicity of Google & AI Chatbot

On August 16, on X (formerly Twitter), a post by a bot in Chinese was found spreading fake information about how India and the US were arguing with each other at the Olympics, over a wrestler being 100 gm overweight. While the information in itself is wrong and can be assumed to have malicious motives, the more concerning part is that the term "san ge", a version of "san" was used, and Google automatically translated it into "Indians".
